Introducing…The Technocats!

Hi! We are team 6273 the Technocats. We are a team of 5 members from Bogue Chitto Attendance Center which is in Lincoln County. We would like to tell you what we have learned in the past season.

We think of robotics as an escape from everything else. When you walk into different tournaments and see the others working on robots, you feel safe, and you know you will be fine.

Throughout the seasons, we learn and teach others about what Gracious Professionalism is and what it means. It means, it doesn’t matter who you are or what team you’re on, you should always be there for one another. There will be times when its hard, but we try our best to still treat others with kindness, even when they don’t treat us the same way. There is so much hate in the world, which will never go away, but we can be the start of a big change for the better.
These are things that we have learned over the past year. Thank you for taking the time to read about what we have learned. We hope you will see throughout the rest of our notebook what kind of team we really are.

We would love for you to contact us if you have any other questions about our team. If you have any comments or suggestions, please reach out to our team by clicking on the Contact heading.

Logan

Hi! My name is Logan. I am in 7th grade, and I am performing my 1st year of robotics. My main job is driving, but I also help with disassembling and building. I work for team 6273, commonly known as the Technocats. I also perform in the Bogue Chitto Band, in which I play the tenor drums. Our robotics team meets every Monday and Wednesday, where we work on the robot, design merchandise, or practice driving. In terms of future education, I would like to attend Full Sail University in Florida.

Alex

Hello! My name is Alex. I’m in the 9th grade, and this is my third year on the Robotics team. I am currently learning what I can about programming. Although I am interested in programming, I also assist with designing shirts and pins. Being a part of the Robotics team allowed me to gain new friends with similar interests along with gaining new skills that might open new career paths in the future. Currently, I’m looking to work in the field of psychology.

Lucy

Hello! My name is Lucy. I’m in the 9th grade, and this is my second year in robotics. I am a builder, mostly working on the robot and helping with the build logs when necessary. I am also one of the team’s drivers. I like to build robots at home, mostly building things like arms, hands, and other random things I can think of. Being a builder is something I enjoy, and building the robot is a quite fun challenge. I’m hoping to pursue a biomedical career, mainly in prosthetic engineering and design, but I would also like to do more creative careers like photography or creative writing.

Caroline

Hi! My name is Caroline, I’m in the ninth grade and this is my second year in robotics. I do the social media and help with the artistic ideas we have to put into action. Being on the team allows me to have creative freedom with actual objects rather than drawing and never doing anything with it. For the time being, I've decided to be a psychiatrist, although my plans will most likely change in the future.

Morgan

Hi! My name is Morgan. I’m in 8th grade. This is my second year in robotics. I am team 6273 the Technocats. I do 3D printing and I am coach. I work on designing items for the team to use on our robot, or anything else they might need for anything. I love being robotics because it gives me a chance to build confidence and make new friends throughout the years. We are all in the band at our school, Bogue Chitto. We all love playing music and enjoy all the times we get to learn with/from each other. I love getting to work with these awesome people.
